You have a beautiful voice. “Very little feels real anymore” This is so true. Thank you for writing this and sharing this by voice. Your voice is very peaceful it brings me a sense of calmness and hope. Lovely message.
I grew up with the large, gray Eastern squirrels but where I live now we also have the smaller, brown Douglas squirrels, and I squeal with delight every time I see or hear them in the woods. They scamper, climb, squeak, trill over the canopy and throw cones from the tops of the conifers. Marvelous.
Ugh. I hate it when the clocks go forward - we have another two weeks until that joy here in the UK. I get jet lag from it, honestly.
My favourite nature pause is watching the birds in our garden. I’ve come to know their personalities and adore their world. I’ll never tire of it. I wish I could do it all the time.
I am a smiling idiot standing in the center of the scampering squirrels - pure delight
That's the way to be, QueenD!

Now I want to go out for a walk!:)))

having so much to do,
so many things going on —
so many obligations
and responsibilities —
is that you miss the little
moments around you,
remembering all that as I look back from retirement!
thank you, Peter. It's all about perspective.
I love that.. we are part of it. We often think we are separate from creation. :)
That was a great poem and commentary, Franco.
Thanks!
Yes we are. Thank you, Órla :)
It's always helpful to be reminded to stop and smell the roses for a spell.
No doubt about it. Thank you, BJ.
"The hope is in being aware of it." Exactly.
